Captain Robert S. Randazzo
Founder, President/CEO
Forum user name: rsrandazzo
Robert S. Randazzo founded PMDG in late 1997 with the intent to add an educational component to the world of desktop flight simulation. Captain Randazzo is an Airline Transport Pilot rated airline pilot formerly based out of Washington, DC.

He is type rated and has flown multiple aircraft types ranging from the JetStream 41 to the Boeing 747-400. Captain Randazzo spent sixteen years in the airline business and has served in various non-management and management positions including Corporate Management, Operations Management and Chief Pilot.

He brings a broad array of knowledge to PMDG products including Part 121 Air Carrier operations, ETOPS certification, ETOPS operations and large aircraft systems. Captain Randazzo manages primarily the business operation of PMDG as well as being responsible for programming the mechanical systems within PMDG aircraft simulations.

For pleasure he flies an SNJ-6, he is a vintage aircraft and restoration buff and owns/manages a team that races an SNJ-6 at the National Air Races in Reno, NV. (Second Place in 2008!) He recently started a firm that consults to airlines on operational matters and has brought PMDG software into the airline business as an effective training tool for pilots.

Captain Randazzo flies a Twin Commander on business whenever the opportunity presents itself. He resides in Western Nevada with his wife, (Marisa), daughter (Tabitha) and two dogs (Gracie and Bailey).
